Isabel Leggitt - Executive Director
Isabel Leggitt is the Founder of Ember Winter Guard. They began their involvement in the marching arts in 2012 at Edwardsville High School, when they decided to turn their love for baton into a much deeper love of color & winter guard. She spun all 8 seasons at EHS.
Isabel has performed with Edwardsville High School, SEMO Marching Band, & Avidity Independent Open, including starting the Auxiliary Club at SEMO & placing in high school. Her coaches throughout her high school career were a large inspiration for the creation of Ember.
Isabel began Choreographing in 2016 at Southeast Missouri State University & was the Guard Coach for her four years. She began Directing at Hillsboro High School in 2018 and has since worked with Francis Howell Central & is currently at Francis Howell North. Their primary areas of focus include technique, choreography, leadership, & management. They especially enjoy when the concept being taught has clicked & a sense of joy and accomplishment fill the space.
Outside of winter guard, Isabel holds a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management. She is a piercer, tattoo artist, & a devoted Dog Mom. When they aren't actively at rehearsal or planning the next one, you can usually find her on a cross country road trip, playing Frisbee with Milly Jane, or planning next season.
Isabel is excited to be returning to Ember for the 2027 season & looks forward to working with the staff, meeting the new members, & getting the opportunity to provide a safe & educational environment in this community.
