Charlie is the Show Designer for Ember Winter Guard. He began his involvement in the marching arts in 1996.

Charlie began teaching/designing in 1996  and has since worked with programs in MIssouri, Illinois, Texas, Ohio, and California. His primary areas of focus include Equipment Technique,  Staging, Production Design, and Performance Qualities.

Outside of winter guard, Charlie is a Kitchen and Bath designer and designs new spaces for clients all over the US. When he isn't doing a guard-related activity, you can usually find him globe-trotting and enjoying seeing all the wonders of the world.

Charlie is excited to be returning to Ember for the 2027 season and looks forward to building the program into a solid Performance opportunity for the color guard community of St. Louis.
